The Little Theatre Players meet the first Tuesday of every other month at the Community Arts Center at 7p.m. (Jan, Mar, May, July, Sept, Nov) Everyone is welcome.

The Little Theatre Players have a rich history of theatrical presentations including community-wide musicals, intimate dramas, comedy, dinner theatre & melodrama. There are many opportunities for involvement both on the stage and in technical support positions to create exciting theatre for eager audiences.

The Little Theatre Players, formally organized in 1961, began rehearsing in a variety of church basements and local storefronts. Their initial productions consisted of light comedies, melodramas, and straight plays.
Children's Theatre Workshops and productions began in 1964. Children are taught the stageskills necessary to enable them to work with a director to translate quality children's literature into living productions. Two Children's workshops were held in 2001 with over 80 in attendance.

Stage sets are designed, built, and painted by members and other volunteers. Most costumes are made but sometimes they are rented for more elaborate shows. Over the years our costume department has grown to the point, that now over 200 groups a year "borrow" our costumes for their productions.LTP is in the process of organizing the costume room using a classification system. CLICK HERE FOR PDF DETAILS. Many props are also stored along with set pieces from previous shows all of which are utilized over and over again.

Many people assist, both on stage and backstage, in various stages of creating a production, such as: stage crew, prop and makeup people, hairdressers, publicity and ticket sales, concessions, ushers, etc.

There are many opportunitites for family participation. The Little Theatre Players meet on the first Thursday of each month at the Community Arts Center at 7p.m. Everyone is welcome.
