The Centralia Cultural Society's
Philharmonic Orchestra held
a Young Artist's Comptetion on Saturday,
March 16, at the Comunity Arts Center. Fifteen students, ages 13-19
participated.
The three First Place winners were
awarded $500 savings bonds.They were Tyler Davis, Cello, Mt. Vernon;
Jarred Kehn, Voice, Centralia; and David Young, piano, Salem.
Second place of a $200 savings bond was awarded to Theresa Luebbers,
Clarinet, of Carlyle, and third place of $100 savings bondwas awarded
to Sara Thomas, violin, of Sparta.
The winners will perform at a Chamber music concert with members
of the Centralia Philharmonic Orchestra on September 8, 2002
